This product is solid and dependable. I have had it on my mountain bike for a couple months and have had no problems. The mount holds the GPS unit firmly and securely, and the flexibility of the mount allows for it to be positions so that its both out of the way, and completely accessible and visible.

This is a superb product! Mounts easily on the handlebar and the GPS stays firmly seated, yet it is easy to remove from the mount. The mount is very adjustable and holds its position even during rough riding. It is great for bike geocaching. I would highly recommend the mount.

I bought this to go on my Ninja 650r and it works perfect. It's very easy to install and because of the swivel there are a number of ways you can position it to best fit you. The craftsman ship appears to be top notch (no cheap plastic). The only beef I have so far is that you can hear a slight vibration. I'm no sure what the source of it is yet. But I would highly recommend it to anybody who needs a good, solid motorcycle mount for the Garmin 60cx.

Replaced the all plastic Garmin mount with this one. The RAM mount seems very secure, although I still wrap the wrist strap around the handle bar just in case. This mount seems more stable with less vibration and is easily adjustable for varying viewing angles. I recommend this product.

I've been running the 76cx on my Seadoo for about a month now. Seadoo makes a glove box cover that allows you to snap a 76 series right in, so it's always in front of me. I'm very happy with the screen, no matter how or where I'm riding I can always read it without much of an issue. I am still working on the features. There's so many of them! This was such a great price. It's fairly easy to read in sunlight which was a big concern for me since it is mounted on my motorcycle. I would also have say its pretty durable since it went flying of my motorcycle and still worked fine.

My only complaint so far would be the instructions. More details of how the features work would be helpful.

the majority of the negative reviews are form people that want a GPS for their car, (rookies). I use mine exclusively for fishing and hunting, and its one of the best I've seen. I bought the topo map chip for the mid-west, and was blown away. it had all of the lakes I didn't expect, as well as the ones I did, with contour lines far better (3 ft in some cases) than any DNR map I've ever seen. the topo map chip was [...] bucks, but was well worth the price. The map chip included all boat landings......

1st set Amazon sent was a disappointment. The unit intermittently went off by itself, during road use/usb connection to pc.
Amazon was kind enough to send me a replacement set pretty expediently and the 2nd unit has worked like a gem. This is my 3rd Garmin GPS.
My loss is the freight I because delivery charges to Singapore, Asia!

the product does what it claims to
the mapping is excellant with many icons for personal spots and it brought us back to within 3 ft of the center of the channel on our return trip
the fish finder works in a little as 5 ft of water so far but i havent been deeper than 90 ft so far but it seems to be just fine out there also
and the tide tables, and moon phases is a nice extra.

all in all for the price you get a lot of product

I explore back waters here in Florida and this model is really working well on keeping me posted as to where I am. It provides details that I did not expect that were useful. I did not have a speedometer before and with the 430s I trimed the boat engine to gain 5 mph.

We installed this unit on our boat and got it working immediately, no problems whatsoever. We bought it for all the inland lakes in Michigan and it has details on all the ones that we boat on. However, we are going to have to pay an additional $130 for Lake St. Clair! Granted it is not an inland lake.
The included lake maps do provide useful outlines of the lakes.
The depth sonar and gps both work well on the lakes and we have had no problems.

The 640 could/should have been so much better, had Garmin enabled the XM Weather capability in Automotive mode, in addition to the Marine mode, which does support XM Weather (WHY would they do such a stupid thing?!), and kept the Tracks/Tracks Management feature of the 276C/378/478 models, which are also geared toward Marine/Auto users. The unbelievable thing is that these missing features are all features that Garmin has implemented in older units - it is baffling why they would eliminate them......

There are so many things that would have made this a great evolutionary update from the GPSMAP 276/376/478 series, but Garmin decided to not allow the use of the XM weather radar and other weather features while in automotive mode. Big disappointment if you are looking to use this on land too like I was.

The 378 is first and fore-most a marine chartplotter. With the exception of radar, the unit has every feature found on the much larger units we use on-board a 32' research vessel. Display is readable, even in direct sunlight; screen regeneration is very fast.
When used on the road, navigation is no different than any other Garmin GPS (it uses the same RoadNavigator software package). The only negative critique is that b/c it does not have a touchscreen, inputting waypoints can be somew......

Works fine however, the car cord would not plug into the unit so I sent it back to Amazon for an exchange. The second unit had the same problem so I called Garmin. First, the guy told me to force it in and when I refused, he admitted that there was a problem with the cord and that they had a different cord. The new cord inserts easily and the entire unit works very well both on land and water. It would be nice to have touch-screen capabiities.

Loaded with lots of information. Would be easier to use if touch screen. Marine lake detail did not include my favorite lake which is the second largest in its State (44,000 acres). Bummed since I could not find a list of the covered Lakes at the Garmin site.

The unit arrived in good order. Am still working on the operating manual. This GPS has many options to set up and different ways to connect to a vehicle. It will take some time to take advantage of all it has to offer.
